About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Foss National Leasing Trainer to join the FOSS Group of Companies in a full-time hybrid role within our People & Culture team, reporting to the SVP of People & Culture. This role provides full-service training support across Foss National Leasing, with ownership of new-hire onboarding and technical training—from assessing needs and designing learning solutions to delivering training, creating resources, coaching team members, and measuring program effectiveness. The successful candidate must be a fleet leasing expert with deep knowledge of fleet leasing operations, systems, processes, products, and customer requirements, as well as a strong facilitator and instructional designer who can turn that expertise into practical, engaging learning experiences.

Key Responsibilities

  • Partner with Foss National Leasing leaders, operational teams, and subject-matter experts to assess current and future training needs
  • Own and maintain end-to-end new-hire onboarding and technical training programs, including systems, operational processes, customer service, compliance, role-specific learning, and ongoing skill development
  • Lead consistent, effective training on new and updated processes as they are introduced, delivering sessions directly rather than relying solely on a train-the-trainer approach
  • Train and support subject-matter experts (SMEs), equipping them with the knowledge and resources to reinforce learning and answer questions, while providing structured post-training support to reduce the volume of follow-up requests directed to SMEs
  • Integrate SOC compliance training into new-hire onboarding and ongoing learning programs, reinforcing documented processes and addressing knowledge gaps to support consistent compliance
  • Facilitate engaging in-person and virtual training sessions for Foss National Leasing team members and other stakeholders, including bilingual French-speaking audiences where required
  • Create and maintain training materials, facilitator guides, job aids, presentations, standard work resources, and instructional videos
  • Document, maintain, and update clear process documentation, standard operating procedures, workflows, and job aids to support consistency across teams
  • Coordinate training schedules, communications, attendance, and completion records
  • Provide coaching, reinforcement, and follow-up support to help team members apply learning on the job
  • Evaluate training effectiveness using learner feedback, knowledge checks, completion data, and operational performance indicators
  • Identify gaps and recommend improvements to programs, processes, systems, and learning resources
  • Ensure all training aligns with company procedures, service standards, and compliance requirements
  • Support training-related projects and collaborate with ambassadors to drive alignment, adoption, and timely completion

    Qualifications

    • Mandatory: Proven hands-on experience working in fleet leasing, with strong knowledge of fleet leasing operations, systems, processes, products, and customer requirements
    • Demonstrated experience designing learning content and facilitating in-person and virtual training
    • Strong presentation, communication, coaching, and relationship-building skills
    • French language skills are required, with the ability to communicate, facilitate training, and support documentation in French
    • Ability to simplify complex systems and operational processes into clear, practical training
    • Experience creating instructional videos and using virtual training or learning platforms
    • Strong planning and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities independently in a hybrid environment
    • Proficiency with Microsoft Office; experience with learning management systems or training software is an asset
    • Prior experience with SOC 1 Type 2 is an asset but is not required; documented processes and training will be provided to build the successful candidate’s knowledge
    • Please submit your resume and any relevant training, facilitation, or video portfolio samples.
