We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated
individual to join our service team as an Internal/PDI Technician at Thornhill.
In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring that every vehicle entering
our inventory—whether new from the factory or a pre-owned acquisition—meets our
rigorous safety and quality standards.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced
unlicensed technician or a 2nd/3rd-year apprentice who excels in a fast-paced
environment and enjoys the "behind-the-scenes" preparation that makes
our showroom floor possible.
What We're Looking For
·
Perform
comprehensive inspections on new vehicle arrivals, removing shipping
protection, verifying fluid levels, and ensuring all features are functioning
according to manufacturer specifications.
·
Conduct
inspections and basic mechanical repairs on used vehicle trade-ins to prepare
them for retail sale.
·
Perform oil
changes, tire rotations, brake services, and battery replacements on internal
inventory.
·
Identify and
report any required repairs that fall outside the scope of "internal
prep" to the Shop Foreman.
·
Maintain a
clean and organized workspace, ensuring all tools and equipment are handled
with care.
· Accurately record all work performed and parts used
within the dealership management system.
What You'll Bring
·
Proven
experience in an automotive shop environment (Lube Technician, Apprentice, or
similar).
·
While a 310S
License is not required for this specific role, progress toward an
apprenticeship is considered an asset.
·
Ability to
manage a high volume of vehicles while maintaining a high standard of quality.
·
A valid
Driver’s License and a clean driving record are mandatory.
·
Must possess
automotive tools.
· Strong ability to follow written instructions and
provide clear updates to the internal team.
What We Offer:
·
Competitive
compensation and benefits package.
·
Employee team
building and social events.
·
Learning and
development programs for all team members.
·
Growth
potential within our organization.
·
Employee
discount programs.
·
Foss purchase
and service program.
·
Employee
referral and recognition programs.
