of our dealerships and help shape the next chapter of growth. This role is
responsible for overall store performance—including Sales, Service, Parts, and
Finance—while delivering an exceptional customer experience aligned to the
standards of a premium automotive group.
You’ll bring strong operational discipline, people-first leadership,
and a proven ability to improve market share, profitability, and CSI. You will
coach and develop department leaders, drive accountability through clear KPIs,
and ensure compliance with manufacturer standards and internal processes—all
while building a culture that reflects FOSS values.
Key Responsibilities
What You’ll Do
- Provide leadership across all dealership departments including Sales, Service, Parts, and Finance - aligning goals, processes, and resources to deliver consistent performance and a unified customer journey.
- Drive growth in market share and profitability while maintaining long-term operational stability—setting and executing annual/quarterly business plans, managing departmental P&Ls, and balancing short-term results with sustainable practices.
- Deliver an elevated customer experience that reflects the standards of premium automotive brands—establishing clear service standards, resolving escalated concerns, and ensuring every touchpoint (sales, delivery, service, and follow-up) reinforces trust and loyalty.
- Recruit, coach, and inspire department leaders and staff to achieve peak performance—building strong leadership benches, developing training and accountability rhythms, and recognizing results that reflect our values.
- Ensure compliance with manufacturer programs and operational requirements—maintaining standards for audits, reporting, brand image, and facility/process guidelines while protecting the dealership’s reputation and performance incentives.
- Track and analyze KPIs such as CSI scores, profitability, and inventory management—using data to identify trends, remove bottlenecks, optimize inventory turn and pricing strategy, and drive continuous improvement across departments.
- Foster a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and teamwork—setting clear expectations, holding leaders to measurable outcomes, and creating a workplace where people feel supported to raise the bar every day.
- Proven success as a General Manager (or senior dealership leader ready to step into a GM role) in a high-performing retail automotive environment.
- Strong understanding of Sales, F&I, Fixed Ops, and Parts operations, including KPI management and cross-department execution.
- Demonstrated ability to coach, develop, and retain leaders—building accountability rhythms, improving performance, and strengthening culture.
- High financial acumen, including experience with departmental P&Ls, forecasting, expense control, and inventory/working-capital management.
- Customer-first mindset with a track record of improving CSI/SSI and handling escalations professionally and effectively.
- Comfort with dealership systems and reporting (e.g., Reynolds) and the discipline to use data to drive day-to-day decisions.
- Experience working within manufacturer programs, audit requirements, and brand standards; commitment to compliance and operational excellence.
- General Motors experience considered a true asset.
- Competitive compensation and benefits package.
- Employee team building and social events.
- Learning and development programs for all team members.
- Growth potential within our organization.
- Employee discount programs.
- Foss purchase and service program.
- Employee referral and recognition programs.
Interested candidates are encouraged to apply with a current resume and
a brief note outlining dealership leadership experience and results delivered
(e.g., growth, profitability, CSI improvements). If you require an
accommodation at any stage of the recruitment process, please let us know.
