Range: $70,000 - $80,000/yearly
About The
Current Open Role
Roy Foss
Aurora Chrysler is looking for a Controller to lead our financial operations
and mentor our accounting team. Using your accounting and Reynolds & Reynolds
(or equivalent) DMS expertise, you will manage the full accounting cycle and
ensure strict compliance with Stellantis reporting standards. As a strategic
partner to our dealership management team, you will oversee internal controls,
safeguard assets, and provide the financial insights necessary to drive our
business forward. You will work closely with
our Group Controller, and the finance teams of our other dealerships, and actively
contribute to Roy Foss Automotive’s continued growth and success.
What
We're Looking For
- Oversee
daily accounting operations, including accounts payable/receivable, deal
posting, payroll, and inventory control.
- Utilize
Reynolds software to maintain financial records and reporting
- Lead
and mentor the accounting team, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in
financial operations.
- Manage
month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring timely and accurate
reporting.
- Prepare
and analyze financial statements and financial reports.
- Ensure
compliance with tax regulations, audit requirements, and Chrysler Canada
reporting standards.
- Develop
and implement internal controls and financial policies to safeguard
dealership assets.
- Collaborate
with department managers to provide financial insights that support
business decisions.
- Work
closely with external auditors, tax advisors, and financial institutions.
- Oversee
bank reconciliations, floorplan management, and cash flow monitoring.
- Ensure
timely and accurate submission of government filings, payroll remittances,
and HST/GST returns.
What
You'll Bring
- A
keen interest in the automotive dealership industry.
- Proven
experience as a Controller in an automotive dealership, or readiness to
assume that role based on demonstrated experience.
- Familiarity
with OEM financial reporting requirements and manufacturer incentive
programs.
- Proficiency
in Reynolds, or equivalent software for accounting and financial
reporting.
- Proficiency
in Microsoft Excel with the ability to use basic formulas and functions
such as VLOOKUP, pivot tables, SUMIF, and conditional formatting
- Ability
to work under pressure, meet deadlines, and manage multiple priorities.
- Accounting
diploma, designation, degree, and/or significant experience is a must.
- CPA
designation would be considered an asset, as would being a Georgian
College Automotive Business Programs’ graduate.
